My Current Project:  Discover Mt. Olympus

I am creating a video game featuring a narrative where the player must discover how the character was mysteriously transported to Mount Olympus and must escape before the Gods discover them. The game challenges players to unravel the mystery of their arrival, interact with mythical creatures, search for hidden maps, and navigate treacherous platforms to survive through this open world. 

This project allowed me to explore level, environmental, and narrative design skills, thus aiming to create immersive gameplay. The experience solicited my desire to pursue a career in video game design, combining creativity and technical skills to craft engaging player experiences. The video features two levels: I used advanced techniques in Unreal Engine to craft realistic terrain, create intricate foliage, and design interactive environmental elements. 

I focused on ecological storytelling by incorporating a lush, wild forest filled with creatures and hidden secrets to explore and uncover important lore.

This next level is survival-based, which requires me to design challenging terrain, including Poseidon, the god of the sea, who controls the tides and weather, and the player must navigate dangerous cliffs, shifting currents, and massive pillars rising from the ocean’s depths. I used lighting and weather effects to add tension and created puzzles tied to Poseidon's secrets, which players must solve to navigate the challenging environment.

3D Modeling

Using the software, Blender. 3D modeling has been a skill that I have been able to render models that were inspired by the media I consume, which aids in creating a immersive environment for players.

Temptation of Dionysus: A Game Level Design Exploration

This game-level development concerns the concept of temptation, inspired by Dionysus, the Greek god of revelry and chaos. The environment features a dynamic and atmospheric design, incorporating a waterfall, stone trail, rocks, and lush greenery to create a visually rich and immersive space. 

The lighting of this level is used strategically to create an ominous effect, enhancing the sense of mystery and tension within the level. In Unreal Engine, techniques such as environmental storytelling, custom lighting setups, and terrain creation have been utilized to bring the level to life, ensuring a captivating player experience that aligns with the theme of temptation and the influence of Dionysus.
