Multimedia Storytelling

A collection of multimedia storytelling projects created through my TRiO internship and freelance work with the Empowerment Campaign. This section showcases my coverage of student success stories, promotional photography, video content, and social media strategy that strengthened community engagement and highlighted underrepresented voices. Each project includes original imagery, interviews, and digital media assets created by me.

    Trio Intership

    During my internship with FAU’s TRiO Student Support Services, I developed a complete media package designed to amplify student voices and strengthen TRiO’s visibility across campus. What started as a photography assignment expanded into a fully realized media coverage campaign, including interviews, videos, graphics, and social media deliverables.

    My Responsibilities

    • Conducted, filmed, and edited student and staff spotlight interviews.
    • Photographed all talent and created cohesive branded visuals.
    • Produced short-form videos optimized for social media.
    • Designed promotional graphics for Instagram, LinkedIn, and newsletters.
    • Structured and edited narrative captions.
    • Analyzed social engagement and optimized the posting schedule.
    • Create and design content, including weekly slideshows.
    • Assist in administrative duties as needed.
    • Deliverables I produced include: 
    • All event coverage (photos, videos, reels, and stories).
    • Directed and helped align the creative vision for two short films for a staff member's classes.
    • End of Trio program documentary.
    • Presentation Slideshow for Presentation Day
    • Ongoing marketing stories, captions, and videos.
    • Created and organized content hub on Google Drive (color-coded and fully updated).
    • Significantly increased engagement on Facebook and Instagram (35,570+ views between June 16–August 2).
    • Average post reach increased from ~300 to 1.1k+.
    • Reels with interviews gained 1.5k–3k views.

    • Improved communication efficiency—staff members no longer needed to request media last-minute due to my established workflow.

    Empower Campaign

    I conducted full media coverage for the empowerment campaign featuring NFL athlete Tutu Atwell and the Annual Tutu Atwell Football Camp. My role included capturing photos, producing highlight reels, and managing social media content to support the message of motivation, discipline, and leadership.

    • Covered the Annual Youth Tutu Atwell Football Camp as the lead media presence.
    • Conducted an on-camera or in-person interview with NFL player Tutu Atwell, asking questions focused on youth empowerment, discipline, and personal growth.
    • Filmed the camp’s activities, drills, and participant interactions, capturing both the high action and the motivational aspects of the event.
    • Photographed Tutu Atwell, staff, and youth participants to document both the energy and the mentorship aspects of the camp.
    • Edited footage into highlight reels and short-form recap videos optimized for social media engagement.
    • Worked directly with event staff to ensure coverage aligned with the camp’s mission and messaging.
    • Managed same-day or quick-turnaround editing for distribution across partner social channels.
    • Provided visual assets that could be used for future event promotions, sponsorship decks, or community outreach.
